SORE!

Ok so its only the 2nd day of 7 days and im soo freaking sore!! i am tired man! its not like i did much but waking up at 5:30am and wrap till 7:30pm so its a pretty long day.. get paid 200 a day though so its pretty coolll. its all worth it... I am really enjoying this really taking it all in and seeing how it works here in LA, people in the crew have been pretty nice and they teach me a lot so im learning every day..... as a Pa i dont do that much but i still stand around and see how they light the sets. here are some pictures to show a few set ups pretty cool. Its amazing how much freaking equipment its needed and this is nothing compared to other sets.

later gonna go to sleep im tired i need a back rub..

the camera is on top of this swing type thing and its pretty weird it is easily moved and i guess it makes the camera more weightless, but it was the first time i ever saw it.. it was rigged on top of the dolly.

First set day

So today was the first time on set working as a PA, it is soo tiring man! i am sooooo tired.. but it was a lot of fun... just going around the set going up and down helping everyone with whatever and then taking the film shot during the day, to transfer. it was a 14 hr day so i am beat.. did not take any pics but il try later.. i felt soo cool with a\my own radio and headset and people actually knowing my name hehehe... it was fun though.. pretty much like shoots in school only 10 more trucks and 10 times more people and 10 times more the experiences and everyhting flows more smoothly cause everyone knows what they are doing its awsome...

ok gonna sleep tomorrow is another long day..

So yesterday they sent me out on a location scouting job. I had to go to the Standard hotel which is this like trendy hotel in La and go to the roof top to take pics of the surroundings cause they are filming a bacardi commercial there.. just wanted to tell you about that... its pretty cool club on the top.... i wanted to show the pic i took, pretty cool place..

my First set

ok, so i went to the first set ever, the company i work with were shooting a commercial for 21st century insurance and i went to check out the shooting. it was amazing there was soo much going on! the director was Jan de Bont and it was cool being super close to him hehehehe.. im a geek i know. There was soo much equipment and so many people working there it was amazing it was really exciting being in the set... I also met a DP called Peter Moss and hes the guy that is DPing the next comercial where ill work in, he was really nice and said i could approach him and ask him anything which was really nice... here are some pics of the set. did not take much but here they are.
